Make WMP default Player?
Hello,

Does anyone know how to make windows media player 11 the default player on vista, I've installed some other media players for different reasons but they are, kind of uncomfortable to use lol. I know you can just right click and make WMP 11 the default player for a specific type of video file, but when I try to stream from the net, it always tells me to download the video, instead of just streaming it while downloading. Thx for any help.

I'm on XP, but this should be the same setup for WMP 11. Open it up, go to Tools > Options, and then click the File Types tab. Hit the Select All button, apply the settings, and you should be set.

If that doesn't work go to start>default programs>click set your default progs then windows media player.

The File types tab does not appear on vista but thx.
