windows visual styles

i came across a cool looking website called interfacelift.com and found some sweet windows themes (http://interfacelift.com/themes-win/index.php?sort=date) Apparently, according to the faq page on the site i need to patch one of my .dll files for the themes to work(UXTHEME.dll). The site recommends downloading Neowin Visual styles enabler to patch the dll file. Does anyone have any idea whether this is safe or not? will it have any detrimental effect on my computer (just upgraded to xp sp3)

also has anyone ever used rk launcher? if so how is it going?
