Please check HiJackThis log! Browser was hijacked!

Hi,

Last week my browser was hijacked. I fixed the homepage situation. For a while my search system was disabled completely. After 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft, we removed many items from the registry. Microsoft says it's fixed. My system is still running very slow while I'm on the internet and especially while I'm on Ebay. It used to be lightning quick. I run Giant Anti-Spyware, Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and Bazooka. I have Norton Internet SEcurity, Norton Anti-virus, Spyware Blaster and Registry Mechanic. Giant and Ad-aware picked up intrustions starting last Thursday and Giant picked up three more browser hijackings three days in a row and quarantined the files. There was a keylogger in my system for about 24 hours when all of this started. I believe that it has been deleted. It doesn't show up on any of the scans as it did last week.

Please someone check the HiJackThis log and let me know if it's OK. Thanks so much in advance for all help.

Thank you so much for checking the log. I wonder why my system is still running so slow? It seems to be very noticeable, like I said, when I'm in Ebay. It becomes pathetically slow! Before any of this nonsense started, the PF usage in Task Manager was running around 270 MB. Now is normally is running around 350 and then when I get on Ebay, it goes up to around 500. Is this relevant?

There is no bugs or adware to slow you down so run this Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it. and see if it helps. If not try the crew in XP can help.

I just deleted ALCXMNTR.EXE and so far, so good. The speed seems to be back to where it should be. I was looking at another tech site last night and it said that this was probably some type of spyware. If my system reverts back to the slow state, I will run the fix that you suggested and post the results here.

I cannot thank you enough for taking out the time to help me. Have a wonderful and blessed holiday!

Sherry
