Google opens twice.

Here's a strange one.
I have just noticed that when I open Google it appears that two home pages open virtually at the same time.
I find I have to click twice on a link before it will open.
Further investigation into my connections in Norton revealed the following 2 connections taking place at the same time:-

www.google-analytics.com

pagead2.googlesyndication.com

I use IE7.

I am a bit concerned about this behaviour.

Can anyone explain.

Thanks.
