Internet Explorer just opens up for no reason
Recently, without me changing anything that I know of, Internet Explorer just opens up with a blank page there and nothing in the browser window. This happesn about every 10 to 12 minutes.
I run a XP on cable hi-speed. Anybody seen this before? If so how did you "fix" it?

I'd suspect spyware...spyware that's not doing a very good job.
Download, install, immediately update and scan with at least one of these free spyware removal tools: Windows AntiSpyware, Spybot, Ad-Aware and Ewido. Using all four won't hurt since each tends to find things the others miss. Let the ones you use remove all they find.
