Wont Boot Until USB Cable Removed
When booting into 10 my PC sticks on loading and wont fully load until I remove the USB device cable.
This cable feeds a hub with 8 devices off it. I guess I have to uninstall/reinstall USB drivers in "Device Manager" but which ones? Do I start with the PC's installed drivers? Thanks. |

does the hub have its own power? has it worked before? what devices are connected? you tried a different cable?

External hard drives are connected to it. Haven't tried a different cable yet. |

Is your mouse/keyboard attached to the hub. If so try connecting the mouse directly to PC and see if it boots OK.
Don't think its the cable, think the USB pport is overloaded. |

Mouse and keyboard are "wireless" with their own little dongle connected to two of the four USB ports at the rear. The hub is connected to the third with on spare. |

Have you tried leaving the cable plugged in and disclonnect one or two of the devices connected to the hub? Did this just start?

My next move is to try what you suggest. |

My suggestion is similar but in reverse. That is disconnect everything connected to the hub and boot with just the hub connected. If okay, then one at a time, connect the external devices and see what happens. When/if it fails after connecting a device, do not automatically assume it is that last device. It could be the number of devices connected and not a specific device. |
