Long continuous beeps at post

long story short...

my computer worked a few weeks ago after i figured out one of the sticks of ram was bad and removed it, it worked fine nothing wrong with that 1gb. the ram came together so i decided i would finally get a replacement hopefully not DOA and i just got them in the mail, and being very careful and working on a plastic mat, i placed the ram in the proper slots, and when i tried to boot, i got long continuous beeps and couldnt see any video. according to my bios manafacturer that means bad ram, so i removed them both and tried to start, and it did the same thing. it had never done this before and i had not altered it since the last pair if ram, i just took the ram out and let my computer sit there for a week. it can not boot at all, and i have tried every combination for either stick in every slot and still nothing. im wondering why this happened, and what i might be able to do to fix this. before i got my computer working i had problems and replaced my motherboard and upgraded the power supply to a 650 watt and still had problems, then i figured out that it was because of the 1 bad ram. could the new ram have damaged my motherboard? it is all very confusing, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. im thinking i might have to send back my motherboard again but idk.

Move it over for abit longer. Also unplug the PSU from the motherboard and from the wall before you do it.

As said no memory no video.

Do you still have the memory you took out? Put it back in does it boot?

Are you sure you got the right memory? Wrong or incompatible memory will cause your systems.

A good source to determine the right memory is http://www.crucial.com

no the ram is compatible because it worked fine with the last stuff which was exactly the same stuff

i dont have the old sticks because i had to send them back for the new ones, because in the last package had one dead one

and i thought it would at least get to the bios without ram...? im not talking about booting to the os l33t just the bios at least

I'm talking about actualy getting to POST. For the computer to even operate, It needs the RAM. You will get Nowhere with no RAM installed, Other than constant beeping - And no 'screen' action.

Those beeps can be video too. reseat the video card carefully, it is easy to bump it installing ram.
