I have a Compaq Presario 2500 laptop. I've had it for 3 years now. It has a pentium 4 processor, so it tends to run a little hot, but not it runs hotter than ever. I'm a full-time RVer and I spend my winters in the California desert where it is really dusty, expecially this year. We've had about 7 drops of rain since November. Is it safe for me to open up the back of my laptop and blow it clean with some of that canned air? I don't want to lose any of my information. I've done electronic assembly work, but I still don't really know much about taking a computer apart. Actually, I know nothing.

I have the same laptop. Is there any preferred way to clean the screen. Mine is pretty nasty right now.
