Oblivion

Right in oblivion randomly the game goes from full screen into a window and has the windows XP this program needed to close error reporting window in front of it.
I have tried to patch the game but it says file cannot be found but one of the same name was found half way through for the oblivion launcher file.
Also when I try to install the horse armour pack, after I put my activation code in the installer crashes.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled I am virtually 100% that my computer is malware free I have run spybot, bitdefender and checked a hijack this log and its all clean.

My spec is

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+
Motherboard: BFG nForce4 Ultra
Graphics Card: PX6600 GT 128MB PCI-E
RAM:Corsair ProSeries 1GB DDR
Hard Disk: 800/900Gig ish
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24bit Optical Drives: Sony CD-RW & LG DVD RAM - RW
PSU: Hyper TypeR ATX2.2 600W

Which is perfect for minimum and but fails on the recommended on the graphics card but it has all the required features for recommended.

Right I have done some googing and there is lots of people having crashes etc with oblivion. Its only people with nvida graphics cards thought.
Yesterday nvida reasesed a beta driver which is said to fix all these problems.

I am downloading it now so I will post back and say if it works or now.

Thanks for that link metr01973

I am downloading it now, betasoft replied to my email and they said end task on all other programs.
I hate technical support, its so lame the have no idea.

I put in my first email to them that I had tried that and tryed 3 drivers and they just replied telling me to do that.
Pathetic.

Hope this works

I agree with you on companies tech support, it sucks. I've just spent a week trying to get my new 7800GS CO working but still no luck and I phoned them up and had to tell THEM that the card is faulty and I am sending it back. They were relectant and wanted me to try things that I'd alredy done and after I told them I had reformatted my HD they eventually gave me a RMA number. Now I've got to wait 5 days at the least before I get a replacement. So I spent £300 on my computer for the new card and a new power supply and I'm using an old 5600XT for now till I get my new card. So I'm actually worse off now than when I started, atleast I had a 6600 then but I sold that to pay for the power supply. Anyway, I hope the driver helps. If not post again.
