when trying to enter it rows and rows of asterisks automatically type.It alsohappend when tryingto complete the title above,

Flip your keyboard upside down and tap and shake out all those cookie (biscuit) and chip (crisp) crumbs. You may need to blast with a can of compressed dusting gas. If no luck, try a different keyboard.
