XP Shutdown issue. WMS idle

Everytime I try to shut down XP, it gives me a message that says WMS Idle is not responding and I have to end the task to make it shut down. Any ideas on how to fix this? I heard this may be an issue with MS office. I have MS office 2003 installed.
