Creating Shared Folders
I know how to map a networked drive, what I need to know now is this: I have a supervisor at my plant who wants to have a shared folder on his cpmputer that links him to the local drive of his subordinants. He already has access to their shared drives on the server, he just needs to get to certain files that they keep on their local drives. Can someone walk me thru this? Thanks.

Hi scubagal,
I'm not sure what you are looking to do to be honest. But, have you tried creating a shortcut on the supervisor's PC to the shared files? |

It's pretty simple, just make a shortcut on the supervisor computer
that links to the files he want to access. The links will work based on the shared folders on the other computers. _______________ "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying" Come and have some fun while playing casino games... |

So, I need to share the drive on the workers computer then create a shortcut on the supervisors computer? I'll post back later today with my results. Thanks.
