Post Searchem.net Popups

Hello everyone . I'm new to the forum and having a major problem searchem.net popups. I've been doing some reading here and removed a file from my sys32 folder named msole32.exe. We'll see if that helps but I also noticed a popuper.exe file in my running processes. I was wondering if I need that and how to get rid of it. I tried stopping it but it won't stop. Here is my HJT logfile and was wondering if someone could look it over and see if anything stands out. Thanks a lot and I look forwarding to talking to everyone.

Welcome to CTH Wilds. You have another file in your running processes that I would like to see please. Could you make sure that you can view hidden files and folders (and System Files) and run a search for intmonp.exe. When you find it, copy it to a new folder, zip it up (this is important) and email it to me (include a link to this thread). My address is anniefriday@xtra.co.nz. I will post back when I have checked it out.

I also need to see a couple more logs please. Go here and download and run Silent Runners.vbs. It generates a log too. Please post the information back in this thread.

Download this zipped file to your desktop http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip and unzip it to it's own folder. When you run the utility, it will generate a log listing suspicious files. This utility must be run in Safe Mode to work correctly.

Boot into Safe Mode (restart your PC and tap F8 as it restarts) and doubleclick on RKFILES.BAT to run it. It will take quite a while (10 minutes or more so be patient). When it has finished a text file will open, save the log and post it in this thread. Do not attempt to delete any files, wait for me to check them.

That file was a baddie too Wilds (Troj.Puper.C). Before we start working with your log, please create a new folder for Hijack This on your drive and copy and paste it across. If you leave it where it is, backups may not be created.

Go here and download popuper.reg to your Desktop and doubleclick on it to merge it with your registry.

Close Internet Explorer and all open windows and run Hijack This again. Check the below entries and click on Fix Checked.

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll

When you have done this, boot into Safe Mode (restart your PC and tap F8 as it restarts) make sure that you can view hidden files and folders (and System Files)and run a search for and delete the below folders/files in bold.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\intmonp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\popuper.exe

Reboot and post a new log.

That log looks fine Chris. Can you also post a Silent Runners log (sorry, I should have asked in my last post). Are you still getting popups?

So far I haven't gotten any popups but I've been rebooting and working on this so I haven't had my wireless card on. I'll keep you posted though. I appreciate all the help and the speedy responses. Can I go ahead and hide all of my files in my computer again and protect them or just leave them unhide. Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, yes go ahead and hide your files again. I would like you to run popuper.reg again and reboot however the malware files have been removed so hopefully all will be well now.
