Unhappy System Restore - Windows XP Pro

I can not access System Restore:

When I click Start > Control Panel> System > SYSTEM RESTORE (TAB)
I receive the following message:

RUNDLL
An exception has occurred while trying to run
"C\WINNT\System32\Shell.dll, Control, RunDLL
"C\WINNT\System32\Sysdm.cpl", System"

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Hi

Found this, it may be worth a shot.

Try the following :-

Logon with an account with administrative priviledges.

Right click %windir%\inf\sr.inf (where windir is your actual windows folder),

Select Install.

You will be prompted for your windows XP CD
Repair System Restore will erase any previous Restore Points.

Cheers

Beanie
