Please define "looks like its in safe mode", does it actually say "Safe Mode" in all four corners, or are all the colors just messed up and everything is huge?

Hello needcompfixed, welcome to the community!

Have you tried a system restore?

Another thing you can do is reinstall your video drivers and see if that brings back everything with your colors.

Sorry about that I see after reading your original post you have already tried system restore. As for reinstalling your video drivers do you know the make of your video card?

1. Right-click on My Computer.

2. Select Properties.

3. Click on the Device Manager tab.

4. Click on the plus sign to the left of "Display adapters." The name of the adapter will show.

Your going to need to identify your video adapter in order to use the right drivers for it, other than that without a restore disk nothing much to do.
