On Board Video Card Died HELP
Please Help ME!!
I have w98 as an operation system and a video card that is on integrated into the mother board of a monorail pII 333. IT HAS CRAPED OUT. Tested by another computer and ruled out the monitor.(monitor is fine) I have a new video card but unclear as how to install it if I cant any sigal from the old non-working one. Please advise JD |

Jeff,
Not knowing your experience with computers, I will try to give you a simple answer. Once you install the new video card, it should automatically disable the on-board video. So here is what you do. Read This --->How to Install a Video Card |

Re: Integrated video
The following procedure will work in most cases. If you can see anything on the monitor: Right click on my computer Select properties Click on Device Manager Click on the Display adapters icon Click on the"+" icon Highlight the name of the suspect adapter Click on the "Remove" button at the bottom of the screen. Do a normal shut down. Insert the new video card Restart the computer Follow on-screen instructions. If you are unable to see anything on-screen -post back. |
