Need Help, Possible Trojan, HijackFile inside (please help if you can)

Hi,

This is my first time posting here so if I do or say anything improperly please forgive me.

Basically, it seems I have been infected by some kind of virus/trojan that does not go away. It forces my search explorer sidebar to pop up on every open with this page - http://www.i--search.com. It also resets my Internet explorer settings and my folder setting for Windows XP (I think). If anyone can help or point me in the right direction towards a solution I would be extremely grateful. I tried deleting all entries with i--search in them but that didn't work

Attached below is a copy of my hijackthis log:

Thanks for responding, I did what you said and it seems like the problem is still there. I ran hijackthis again and this is the new log (which seems very much like the other one) :

Sorry to be pain but i'm getting really worried now. This infection appears to have taken place last night. Since then my Windows Media Player .exe file mysteriously disappeared. So I reinstalled, kind of by conditioned reflex so I did not tie it to the apparent trojan/virus. Now it seems my mirc.exe file has disappeared also and I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the infection. Please advise

Hi buddy...Download CWShredder from:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
It should be the latest version..but hit the "check for updates" button.
Then hit the "fix" button.

Post back a new hijack log after the above.

I tried CWshredder but I don't think it worked. I have also tried pc-cillin, spybot, adaware, and spyhunter. Although spyhunter does seem to find something the others do not I only have the trial version which does not allow parasite removal. Below is my new hijackthis log:

Dont worry too much gfa202, if the worst comes to the worst, you can always try a System restore but let's not go down that track yet. SpyHunter...hmmmm..I'm not surprised it found entries that the other two Spyware Removal Utilities didnt. The Vendors want you to buy it, dont do this, it's a scam. The best advice that I can offer you is, uninstall it.

Close IE and all open windows and run Hijack This again. Check the below entries and click on Fix Checked.

THanks for responding. I was so anxious to get it fixed that I purchased the spyhunter and it seems to have removed all items. Thanks for your help though!

You are welcome for the input gfa202 but be very careful using SpyHunter. It generates lots of false/positives and has the potential to cause problems with your OS.
