Question Noob question

Hi foks!

I'm kinda new here, and this question might have been asked several hundred times but,

I'm going to reinstall Windows 8 from my computer. Since I have floated 2.5 terabyte with ****.. (Not porn)

I have readed me to that its possible to make a boot disk that can format my two harddisks. I know how set up the bios and install windows 8, but where do I get the right boot disk and how do I make it bootable and stuff...?

Eric

Windows CD/DVDs are bootable and allow you to remove, recreate and format partitions at the beginning of the installation routine.

It depends on the computer. If it'll hold 4GB or more of RAM, a 64-bit version would be preferable. Check to make sure that 64-bit drivers are available for all of your hardware though first.

1) I seriously doubt your computer has a 5-1/4" floppy disk drive.

2) MS-DOS 6.22 is ancient and wasn't designed to handle today's computers.

3) Boot from your Windows 8 media (USB flash drive or DVD) and follow the onscreen instructions.
