It is at the top where the Firefox logo is. it is that bar that goes gray. and I have to click the mouse so it will turn blue and then that page will respond.

Ah right, a Firefox issue. I'll transfer this topic to the appropriate forum.
In the meantime, try running Firefox in Safe Mode. To do this, close Firefox, hit the Windows key plus R on your keyboard and paste the below command in the Open box and click ok. firefox -safe-mode Does this make a difference? If so, one of your Add-ons is causing the problem. Go to Tools > Add-ons and disable all extensions. Close Firefox and reopen it. Is it still ok? If so, you will need to enable each extension, one at a time and close and reopen Firefox after enabling the extension to find out which one is causing the problem. If disabling Add-ons makes no difference, click on Themes and uninstall your current Theme. If still no joy, click on Plugins and follow the same procedure for Add-ons. |

In that case you will have to contact the developers. We cant help sort out software conflicts caused by coding.

Try the steps I posted previously and uninstall the offending software.

I have the same issue so finally did some digging.
When Firefox opens a page using Flash Player, the window loses focus. I found a technical explanation but lost the URL. IE does not seem to be affected. I found lots of reports about it being a known issue between the latest version of Flash Player and Firefox. I've gotten the impression Firefox might be expecting Adobe to fix it; Adobe may be waiting for Firefox to fix it. Some have fixed it by going back to the previous version of Flash Player. |

Going back to old version of adobe flash is not that easy as they want you to have the new version installed. and they bug you to download it. so tell me can I go back to older version of Firefox?. or will that not fix it?.
