MC Office 2010 word gone?
I upgraded from office 2007 to 2010 professional with a download made available thru my employer. I have no disk to rely on so lets try my "friends". I no longer have the Word 2010 icon on my quick start menu, and can't find the application anywhere on the program files. Word 2010 still works, but I have to open a saved document, and open a "NEW" document from the pull down menu. Don't want to keep opening "Wife's recipes" document just to type something. It's there somewhere!! Tough on the kids also. Any help?

Use the Windows Search feature and look for "winword.exe" (without the quotes).
Once it's found, right click it and in the menu that opens, point at Send to and in the sub-menu that opens, click Desktop. Once you have a shortcut on the Desktop, you can move it wherever you like, including the Quick Launch bar.
