Computer shuts down at start up
Hi people,
I have a shuttle running windows Vista business 32 bit. At start up the pc goes to the usual did not shut down properly. If i select start windows normally it shows the loading bar and then switches off. If i select start in safe mode the pc starts up and goes to the ctrl alt delete log in screen and is staying on still as we speak. I have checked for dust and have used compressed air to blow all dust out but still it switches off if i select start windows normally. Is there anything i can do whilst it is in safe mode to resolve this issue. Thanks Giff |

Just to be sure that third party software is not causing the problem, try cleanbooting and see if you still have the same problem (see here, Step 1: Perform a clean boot). Dont troubleshoot it yet and make sure you dont download anything or surf to dodgy sites while you are running in this state because your antivirus will be disabled. Did you notice any difference?
