Question DVD recording

I have a LiteOn 24X external cd/dvd writer. I am using HP 16X DVD-R disks.

I have a 5.7 gig file containing Audio_TS and Video_TS files. Is there a way to fit these on a 4.7 gig disk?

My burning program is: Easy DVD Creator.

You need to buy a "Dual Layer" DVD Writer and use a "Dual Layer" DVD in it. They can hold just over 9GB of data.

Then keep looking over your shoulder if that's a commercial disc your trying to copy, 'cos it's illegal, very!

The LiteOn is supposed to support dual layer . Do I have to go to a computer store to purchase the dual layer disks?

I am recording a tv series 5-episodes to watch while on vacation. Then I will discard it. I am not bringing my laptop with me.

You can go to most any store where they sell blank DVDs and they should have dual layer DVDs. Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot all carry them.

I can't thank you enough. I only tried Target. I will get them tomorrow; I am leaving Thursday morning for my vacation. Again, I thank you

This is the kind that I use, but I usually buy them online from newegg.com.
