Random spiking on a good comp? (moved from W7)
My computer is stupid im guessing. It used to run perfectly fine but now its being retarded. It was doing it on Windows Vista 64x but I upgraded to Windows 7 In hopes it would stop but it didn't.
The problem is that it loves to randomly spike its FPS/CPU Usage(100%). On any video game I play no matter what just loves to randomly spike on me. I have all updated drivers. Im ruinning an AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.7 GHZ Dual Core with a GeForce 9700 1 gig, 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM, Any clue to what the problem might be? |

First, did you Upgrade to Win7 or do a fresh install? Upgrading usually won't get rid of problems like this, it will just move on up with it and sometimes even get worse. Its always best to do a fresh full install of new OS's.
2nd, have you checked in the Processes to see what is running at the time this happens and is using up all the Resources? Control panel, system, device manager, Processes tab. When it does this, see what is in the CPU column. |

Usually when this problem occurs, the game shows that it is taking up all my resources, Frets on Fire, Counterstrike Source, League of Legends, They all do it. And their the only 3 games on PC I play.
