Games card problem

Hi, im trying to install a 'nvidia 9500gt super+1gb' graphics card but im having problems. Ive put the card in ok but when i boot up the screen says 'signal not detected'. So ive tried another monitor which i know works and i got the same problem. I then took the card back out and booted up again, the computer works fine so i now know its the card which is making the problem. There is a cable provided with the card but im not sure what to do with it, ive looked in the instructions and it doesnt even mention this cable, the cable has 2 black clip type things on one end and one white clip on the other end. Do i need to use this?

Hope you can help,

thanks!

Did you connect the monitor to the new card?
