New Imac
I have recently bought a 24" IMAC. I am told that Virus software is not needed on a MAC because they are not susceptible to viruses. Is this the case or should I have it protected?

It's true. You do not need anti-virus software on a Mac. To date there is only 1 known Trojan on a Mac, and it's related to viewing porn. As long as you don't download and install anything from a porn site, you're fine. |

Providing you back up all your work regually I'd leave it off... I have AV on my mac mini as that's my backup really with all my work on because I really can't afford to loose any of it.. but on my laptop (where I want the extra speed and all of the work on here is backed up else where) I'm not running any.
