Laptop died!?
first of all sorry if this is in the wrong place.
i was running a scan for virus's and spyware on my laptop and the entire thing froze mid scan. I had no choice but to shut it down by pressing the power button. Now when i turn it on the screen remains completely black and nothing appears on screen. its definately on as the fan is running continously...which it didnt before. and the power and wireless lights are on. i dont mind completely resetting my computer, but dont know how to if nothing is appearing on screen. does any one have any ideas?? |

If you're running Windows XP, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP, for possible causes and solutions.
