cannot download AVG update due to damaged download file

I thought that I had solved the problem with regard this program when I uninstalled msn and the avg programs and then reinstalled them However.......When I tried to upgrade my anti-virus program .... I recieved a message telling me that the upgrade would not be installed due to a damaged download file
..........How can I ammend this ..........ANYBODY???????

If you used the correct uninstallers , a good registry cleaner is probably needed .

This one may fix it .
