My keyboard is missing keystrokes but only in yahoo email and yahoo messenger

i wonder if anyone can help. i am using windows vista, home entertainment. my problem is that when im in yahoo and only when im in yahoo either sending an email or on yahoo messenger, my keyboard keeps missing key strokes. im a touch typist and can type quickly but im really having to bang on the keyboard and type with 2 fingers really hard. like i say its only in yahoo and nothing else. this is very frustrating. does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this....?????

Hi sapphire66. If it only happens in Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger then it is most likely that the Yahoo software has a compatibility problem with Vista. In other words, a Yahoo issue, not a Vista issue.

I dont use Yahoo at all so I cant really help but I can start the ball rolling. What version of Yahoo Messenger are you using? Apparently version 8.1 is compatible with Vista. See here.

I was having the same problem only it was on a guitar forum I belong to, they suggested I install Firefox, I did and all is well now, I don't know anything technical about computers, all I know is that the Firefox is free and the download time is short, it's surely worth a try.
