even though you have more video memory, probably shared
the intel intergrated graphics suk, they lack many things
you can try wow on it and see what happens
if it runs and playable then good
if not then a new video card is necessary, assuming you have an AGP slot or PCI-Express slot available

my mobo has no PCI-E or AGP slots.

Yes i know, it should be a crime to not put in agp slots on a modern computer, (only 2 years old).

My old mobo even had AGP!!! Argggh!!

i have a dell demension 3000, what AGP mobo/AGP card would you recommend (mini-tower however) for running it.

You wont be able to put a standard motherboard in that case, not even a mATX.

you will need a socket 478 mobo i think after eading a review from about.com of the Dimension 3000 if you want to keep your existing CPU

i think a standard mobo would fit after looking at a few images of the dimension 3000 mobo from google images

you can most certainly try a new mobo, s478 mobos with pci express arent easy to come by

yeah because my last case has a mobo, but its not long either, and about just as high.

As soon as i get some measuring tape ill bust out some numbers.

I have a Pentium 4, 256mb (ARGG!!!) mb DDR SDRAM, and an old video card, 128meg raedon x300se (served me well for a long time, i love it).

The problem with the Dell case is the front power button is not standard. It will only connect to that Dell motherboard so you might as well get a new case as well.

well i found this, and from some people ive heared it will work with Dells,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813185078

But, when i opened my case to take a look @ the processor, i found this-

What kind of engineering is this? i have never seen anything like it.

----------------------
after looking at all of this, i think just buying a gig stick of ram is good for now, then just building an entirely new PC would just be easier. this is my first and last dell though....

the motherboard may be micro atx
it just has a CPU duct with a fan blowing air in or out
cant see the psu but it looks standard
not sure ont he front connector, the blue thing with the black, white, green, red wires into it looks to be USB
can we get photos of the lower part of the mobo and psu?
definately no AGP slot or PCIe
new motherboard might mean you need a different CPU heatsink fan
and removal of the Fan Duct
