Will a 'complete' hard drive system restore work?
Hi,
I've had mounting problems with my laptop....most major being that I can no longer play dvd's. I have no idea why it suddenly stopped doing this....I have an error message informing me that the contro panel (ATI Mobility Radeon 9000) can not run as the driver is not installed or working properly.......now my mouse is playing up! There are so many other problems that I'm now wondering if I should just back up everything I want to keep and do a complete restore using the product recovery CD. I also have all the original discs which came with the laptop, utilities, drivers etc. I've tried reinstalling these, it runs correctly, asks me to restart etc.....but still have the same error messages?! By using the recovery disc, would this actually give me/the laptop a 'fresh start' with just the basics? Thanks in advance. |

if your laptop has a bios battery, it may be time for a replacement. Tell what manufacturer and model number of your laptop.
