Question mouse pointer is missing!

My friend has a Packard Bell Legend computer (1995) - I know, I know... old. When in "safe mode" the mouse works fine, but when in regular mode, the mouse is missing! I checked out the system devices and it does show the mouse is enabled. I have tried to reboot, both cold and warm, the system, but nothing seems to work.

The operating system is Windows 98

Please help!!

Hi rwill23190, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

Remove that mouse you see in Device Manager and reboot.
