USB and Memory Stick
Anyone have any idea why a usb port would not reconize a memory stick and the computer can even see the usb port?

Go to add new hardware and see if it detects it. Or in device manager (right click my computer, go to properties > hardware > device manager) go to the "Universal serial Bus controllers" menu , right click and go to "scan for hardware changes" and it should detect it.
