My computer OS is Win XP Home. About 3 weeks ago, it suddenly started opening my Start menu when I hit the Caps Lock key. Any idea as to what might cause this and how I can fix it?
Thank you, Peg |

go into control panel and rummage around with your keyboard settings.
Do you have a start key (looks like a windows flag) if so what dose that do. And you should have said what keyboard you have, the more info the better ![]() |

Caps Lock key problem
Sorry, I should have known that. The keyboard is a
Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard. It is about 5 years old. The windows key also opens the Start menu. |

Have a quick look in Control Panel/Regional and Langauge Options and ensure these have not been altered.

Well a microsoft keyboard will definately use the keybord part of the control panel rather than some fancy manufacturers settings, so a quick look in the keyboard settings... rules it out
![]() You could try uninstaling its drivers and reinstaling (note remove your passwords first, otherwise you may be unable to enter them) but apart from that I'm out of ideas. |
