Are you using Windows 98 or XP? Your description says you are using Win XP Pro.. If that's the case you would be better off posting your question in the XP forum.

It could be that the graphics settings in the game are turned up too high and your computer can't quite handle it. Trying turning the graphics settings lower. Also make sure you're not running any other resource-consuming applications in the background while you are playing the game. If all that fails to improve things, you might need a newer/faster video card.

If you right click anywhere on your desktop, then select Properties > Settings it should tell you what graphics card you have.

ok, it says it's a: COMPAQ MV720 on Intel (R) 810 Chipset Graphics Drive (DC100). i have the graphics set to the very highest, im going to lower it to high and see if it doesn it, if it does im just going to keep lowering the graphics to the one it works on.

That's your best bet.. just find the highest graphics settings your computer can tolerate. COMPAQ MV720 on Intel (R) 810 Chipset Graphics Drive (DC100) means that your motherboard takes care of the video and you have no video card. If you plan on playing lots of games at high resolutions and detail settings, you'd be best to invest in a video card as motherboard graphics usually aren't meant for gaming.
