System 32 files question

Hope you can help. When I start up my computer it goes through a very slow start up process the goes to the open system 32 file displaying all of the files in the folder. Is this a problem and how can I stop that from happening? Aside from running slower, the computer runs fine after that. Please help. Thank you.
