Question CMOS Checksum errors/"blue screen of death" errors

I've been having a lot of trouble with a "Blue Screen of Death issue" (click this link to see my previous post http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...d.php?t=132480 ), and recently, about 50% of the time I start up my computer, I get a "CMOS Checksum error - Defaults loaded" error message. I think this means that I may need to replace my motherboard battery.

I was just curious as to whether anyone would know if the two problems/error messages could be related/connected - if my motherboard battery may be causing my "Blue Screen of Death" errors.

Thank-you!!

Well .... there's only one way to find out for sure ..... grab the battery for a few pence and whack it in
