Startup Problem in HP laptop
I have HP Pavilion dv2221us laptop. I am using Vista Business. When I shut down the computer or when I close the top I have a great deal of trouble restarting. I get a black screen and I must repeatedly turn it off and on before it will finally start. Sometimes I remove the power cord and take out the battery and then reconnect them and it may start. Please help.

Hi BKirrane. How old is this Laptop? I've seen this a few times before and it has been due to a few different things. One reported bad memory, one was Video card was going out, one was the internal Power supply was faulty. I seen one that the guy told me he got fed up and reinstalled windows and it started working properly(I think this was just a fluke though)
