Can you go here do the broadband test and give us the results...it will help us detirmine if it is just the sites you visit that are slow or if it is something wrong at your end (either your computer or your isp).

Get Back to Us

(by the way, keep in the mind the test results aren't always accurate but they will give us a general idea)

While that test result isn't the fastest I've seen it looks fairly normal to me. I don't think your connection is the problem here.

I'm behind a firewall/NAT, can I use BitTorrent? Yes, but you will get better performance if other peers can connect to you. By default, BitTorrent listens on port 6881, trying incrementially higher ports if it's unable to bind, and gives up after 6889 (the port range is configurable). It's up to you to figure out how to poke a hole in your firewall/NAT.
Perhaps it is slow because nobody can connect due to the router's basic firewall skills. See if you can't configure the router to allow the connections. (if you try something and it doesn't help change it back, that way you aren't leaving unnecessary holes in your security)

Also remember you are on cable. Your speed can be drastically affect by those who also have cable in the area you live. The more online at the same time as you, the slower your speed will be. You also can have those bandwidth hogs who will do nothing but download large warez or music files on your lines, this will also affect your speed.
