Internet stops loading!!

Hi, im not to good with computers so im sorry if you can't understand some of the things i go on about.
Right i go onto the internet and it works fine for 10-15 mins then all of a sudden it stops loading and i have to restart the computer before i can go on again and then it does the same everytime. I done ad-aware and spybot s&d but it didn't help i also done a hijack this log on another forum but what they told me to do didn't help either. I have a fairly new computer and it has an amid athlon 2.9 proccesor i think and windows xp home edition and i have ntl broadband internet.

Oh and i can't get on the internet using the ie icon in desktop because its gone and i can't get it back i tryed everyplace but couldn't get it back.... Thanks in advance

Welcome

Are you Wireless?
What solutions have you been told?

As for IE, log in as a user with Administrative Priviledges and goto Control Panel>Set program access and defaults>

You can use Microsoft, but if using Custom make sure IE is enabled.

temp files & folders wouldn't cause the problems you have.

tell more about your computer, ram, harddrive size/space available.

also if you go into your control panel, administrative tools, event viewer and check you application or system logs, you should see errors round the time of the last crash. If you click on them, it may give hints as to the problem.

I'm having the same problem. 10-15 minutes normal browsing, then 'page cannot be found'.
I then have to reboot to get another 10-15 minutes.
MSN messenger stays connected and my laptop can still browse (wirless network) so it is not an ISP issue (although I am with NTL also).
Using windows XP - AdAware, Spybot, AVG, CWShredder and others used but have not solved the problem.
I have been trying to reslove this for over a week.

Any help much appreciated.
