XP Pro Pain

When I first start my computer my taskbar freezes and i cannot use it for about 5 minutes.end the shutdown takes another 5 minutes.
I am running AMD xp2600 with 1gig ram and 90% hard drive free

When did this start happening?
Could you do a System Restore?

Have you done a Virus Scan and Spyware Scan?


You could also look into your Startup items.
You can do that via MSCONFIG or using this free program
