network after critical updates
Have built 2 different computers today
one is ME the other is 98se after building, our workshop proceedure is to install a NIC and use the internet to download the latest fixes for the bugs implanted by m$ Both computers now won't work on the network they were updated from. "Unable to Browse" Have double and triple checked all the settings and protocols. The latest M$ critical updates mention a networking bug, that they have "fixed" -yeh Anybody had similar experiences, or is this what i get for insulting microsorft so often ?

never mind folks. complete re-install #3 and no critical updates added. seems to be working ok. some doubt about the network cable - tests ok and worked up until the time of the updates being applied. stopped working after ?. still tests ok but workstation will function with another cable to the hub
|
