Computer not keeping time after battery replaced?

OK I replaced a battery on a Dell GX240 as the other one was failing. The system still loses its time. now the battery I put in is brand new and I also tried another battery from the same pack.

Any suggestions why?

Thanx

is it the exact same battery as before? a 3-V CR2032 lithium coin cell? Did you change the clock in bios?

For some reason some computers are like people, just cannot keep track of time no matter what you do. Try Double-click on the time in the system tray, then click on the Internet Time tab. Make sure the "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server" is checked.

I know nothing about win2k so maybe someone else could help. My suggestion is to use a utility to keep track of time. See this from download.com
