Le Pen taking over in France would be a big deal. She’s known for her far-right views and anti-immigration stance, so expect big changes in those areas.

Historically the societal pendulum swings from left to right and back again.
Right now it looks to be heading to the right.
I believe human nature, which hasn't changed in all of recorded history, will make sure it eventually starts back toward the left again.

It will probably be a sorry day, if her party comes to power, for the descendants of the French people who moved to mainland France from former French colonies in Africa, Indo-China, South America and the French Pacific Islands, as their rights will probably be whittled away by her right-wing policies.

This almost happened in Britain, years ago, when right-wing politician Enoch Powell, proposed sending them back to the former colonies of their ancestors.
