Fan gettin abnormally loud when playing game
Samsung Series 5 NP550P7C
This laptop comes installed with Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit), has a 17.3-inch display, and contains an Intel Core i7 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M graphics card. It offers 8 GB of system memory and 1 TB of storage. The product measures 16.07 by 10.63 inches (W x D) and between 1.15 and 1.27 inches high and weighs 6.59 pounds Mortal Kombat the Komplete edition is the first game I ever play on here its just got the motherboard replaced and just got it cleaned also but 30 seconds into the game fan goes real loud does is this supposed to be like this when playing games? |

Pretty much, yes.
Keeping the CPU & GPU cool during excessive load (i.e. gaming) will need the fans to hit max rpm. You could try sitting it on a laptop cooling pad. http://www.newegg.com/Laptop-Cooling/SubCategory/ID-319 |

I minimize the window and start up taskmanger and my memory and processes cpu usage aren't even half way why would this cause my computer overuse the fan if its not being fully used?

Well,I'm not a big fan (no pun intended) of gaming on portables, but it pretty much should meet the requirements of the game without being too over-taxed.
Do you have any temperature monitoring software (th graphics driver software may have a utility). Something I missed in your 1st post: Quote:
Improper fan reassembly (no thermal compound for example) could mean the fan is working harder than it should to keep the CPU cool. |

High end GPUs make a lot of heat, it has to be gotten rid of somehow. Thus either more innovative cooling solutions, or simply faster louder fans.
Has it always been this way, or has it only started being loud? Also, its a good idea to clean your case of dust with a can of compressed air regularly since dust hinders the getting rid of heat so fans need to spin faster to compensate. |

Yeah, your fan gets louder because it has to spin faster to keep the innards cool. Personally I've never quite liked laptops for gaming for this very reason, I just don't feel like there's enough space in there to keep things cool. It's personal preference tho.

it may not be the issue since you said you recently got it cleaned but if dust can cause the fan blades to become unbalance creating a wobble which could make a lot of noise.
