Very strange keyboard and mouse issue.
Hello.
Windows will recognize and successfully install drivers for both USB and PS2 keyboards and mice, but neither works (even in Safe Mode). I've ran 2 restore points, but the problem remains. I currently have the drive slaved and going through a disinfection procedure. Following that, I'll try an older restore point. Any suggestions? |

go into bios and check the system time. if it is wrong, reset it, then check it again a few hours later. if it is wrong again, change the bios battery. sometimes when the battery is bad, the mouse and keyboard are the first things to start acting up.

Thanks for the reply Dan.
I should have mentioned that I did that, including restoring the bios defaults. Following 2 other System Restores' and an sfc /scannow, I gave up and did a clean install. |
