Battery

I have an e-system laptop.It will only work without the battery.When i insert the battery the system shuts down.
It is a new battery

The laptop had not been used for a while so I presumed that it was beyond charging.

Sounds like the new battery is either the wrong model or defective. Return it for either a correct|working one or a refund.

Sounds like the charger may be the culprit, it isn't providing enough power to run the laptop and charge the battery at the same time.

Is this the original AC Adapter?

Hmmm, that's not good. Are (were) any of the power input pins on the laptop damaged somehow?

No the pins have not been damaged and it is the original charger

If everything is in perfect condition up to the motherboard, the next step would be the motherboard itself.

the original charger could be bad or the motherboard. I think you are at the point where you should take it to the shop unless you know how to test both. you could use a multimeter to see if the charger is up to specs.
