Program Switching Problem

I'm having a problem where randomly whatever window I'm in switches out and the computer goes to the desktop. It's incredibly annoying both for typing and for playing games. I was getting an svchost.exe crashing earlier, but I ran CCleaner and that took care of that. I also ran Hijack this and removed several processes that I knew I didn't need running, as well as a few that said "files missing". Here is my freshly run HJT log.

I won't attempt to analyze the HJT log. I leave that to the experts.

When you say "window switches out" do you mean the program closes?

If not and if the window reappears when you move the mouse, make sure you're not "parking" the mouse cursor at the far end of the Taskbar. There's a "Show desktop" area there that will cause all windows to disappear temporarily when the cursor hovers over it.

What I mean is it leaves whatever window I'm in and goes to the desktop. The program doesn't close, but if I'm typing something it switches away or if I'm in a game that's fullscreen it minimizes, but it doesn't actually change to another program (i.e. there isn't anything else open that it switches to, it just gets out of everything).

The Windows key/D key combination as well as the Windows key/M key combination will minimize all windows.

It's possible you're hitting that key combination by accident or else one of the windows keys is stuck.

Look way over in the taskbar near the time, and to the bottom right edge of your screen, and you will see a rectangle that looks like it's raised. Put your mouse there without clicking, and show desktop will appear, and you will then be brought to the desktop. You can turn that feature off by right clicking on the rectangle, and uncheck peek at desktop.

Yes, I'm aware of all of these. It's not the same thing. The start menu doesn't pop up, nothing goes translucent. And for your certainty, it happens when I'm not even using them mouse but have it parked in the middle of the screen and am using a controller.

Also, @IPR512 that doesn't cause the window I was using to be unselected, just shows the desktop. The problem I'm having is the window/program I was using gets unselected as the current one, even though it doesn't get moved from the first position in the alt-tab queue.

Also, I'm still getting the random svchost.exe crashing problems. And a few other small little crashes. I'm thinking I might have gotten a virus somewhere along the way so I'm going to run a virus scan.

It seems to have been sorted out by running a virus scan. Sorry for the hubbub.
