warcraft 3 and frozen throne sound problems

I have owned warcraft 3 and frozen throne for a long while now. i mainly play it for LAN games with my cuz and lil bro. so idc about the battlenet. but i had given my cd's to my cousin so he can install them to his computer, he moved and i never got them back. i had already installed it to my brothers computer and when my comp fried i had to use my usb drive to copy the game over to my new computer. but no matter how many times i do this it keeps saying
unable to initialize base sound services sound is disabled. and i cant hear any sound. now it works on my bros comp but not mine. so if there is anyfile i can download to fix this or anything i can do at all help a fellow gamer out
