CD burner

My son's lap top will not burn a cd. It was doing fine but was unplugged while burning a cd and the battery was dead. He pugged it back in and now it will not burn. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Naw, that won't fix media player.. How long has media player been broke?.. Do you have a restore point back to a date where it was working?

Do you mean it won't auto play music? Does the disk show in the drive in windows explorer?
