Pop up "Connect to gadgets.live.com"

How do I get rid of this pop up?

When I press cancel, it disappears for a minute or so and then reappears, halting whatever application I am working on (I 've had to stop & press cancel twice alrady, while typing this message, sorry 3 times now)

It appears this site has been removed (oops 4th time!)

Welcome to CTH

Are you using Google Sidebar Gadgets? If so a gadget is not loading properly, remove it.
